Wafilin builds high-hapacity WPI System for Liprovit

Wafilin Systems starts 2026 with a project that marks an important milestone in the company’s history. The company is commencing its second-largest membrane project to date and, at the same time, the largest dairy project realized so far.

In close collaboration with its customer Liprovit as end user, Wafilin Systems will engineer, build and supply a complete Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) membrane plant. The installation will support Liprovit in further strengthening its position in the premium whey protein market. Through the application of advanced membrane technology, the new WPI plant is designed to maximize yield, product functionality and overall process efficiency. The solution is fully tailored to Liprovit’s production requirements and will integrate seamlessly into the existing processing environment through the construction of a new facility at Liprovit’s production site in Kampen, the Netherlands.

With this new facility, Liprovit aims to produce up to 10,000 tonnes per year of dry whey protein concentrates. The installation will expand Liprovit’s product portfolio alongside its existing range of high-quality dairy-based nutrition for calves and piglets.

Construction of the new facility has already started. Installation of the WPI skids is scheduled for this summer, with the facility expected to be fully operational before the end of 2026.

This project represents a flagship project for Wafilin Systems and underlines the company’s expertise in delivering large-scale membrane filtration systems for the dairy industry. As the project progresses, Wafilin Systems will share further updates, from engineering through to realization.
