Through our expertise, technical and process knowledge we develop unique membrane solutions. Our full range of services, includes application development and pilot studies in our application centres or on site, results in a system design, on which we base our full-scale membrane filtration systems. Our full-circle approach covers all the steps needed to deliver the optimal solution.

Application development

Application development

Wafilin Systems uses its two application centres: the Water Application Centre (WAC) and the Food Application Centre for Technology (FACT). Here we conduct membrane screening and process analyses to find the best membranes for each application. In our research, we work in close collaboration with our customer, and provide technical and analytical support. We determine the technical feasibility of a particular solution.

Pilot studies

With our extensive range of 15 pilot units and unique facilities, we can provide flexible and independent testing and development of ideas and concepts. Our pilot studies bring together key data that is needed to create and validate our system designs. During the research, we determine the optimal membrane choice and configuration. We report the pilot study results back to the customer. These results form the foundation for the full-scale design.

System design

Our process engineers are specialised in the design and development of in-process membrane applications for the dairy and food industries. They can convert data from the costumer or the pilot phase into innovative system designs. Our scope of design is defined by delivering a piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), process flow diagrams (PFD) and equipment list to create the foundation of the technical design of a system.

Our project engineers and project manager are experts in integrated design (process, mechanical, electrical, automation), construction process support, system introduction and integration into the customer’s production processes. This ensures timely delivery, high quality standards and cost-effectiveness.

Commissioning

Our project manager guides and facilitates the overall project, from system design to commissioning. Our project engineers are involved during system commissioning and start-up. They also support and instruct the operators. After the start-up, we remain involved in system optimisation and maintenance.

After sales service

After sales service

We remain involved by supporting operation, monitoring and optimisation. Our services also include spare parts delivery and membrane replacement. Finally, we actively provide training and proactive support for R&D engineers, operators and process engineers in the area of membrane filtration.
