Wafilin nominated for de HET local entrepreneurship award

We are proud to announce that Wafilin Systems has been nominated for De HET Award 2020, the local entrepreneurship award of Leeuwarden!

On Monday the 20th of January, Councilor Friso Douwstra had announced the finalists for the HET award, consisting of Ekwadraat Groep, Grenzeloos Werk and Wafilin Systems. The 3 finalists will all be entering a special trajectory focused on improving their entrepreneurial skills.

“By participating in the HET awards we hope to increase our visibility within the region, to show how many interesting companies are settled here at the Watercampus. We want to make people aware of the great things that are happening here” Henk Schonewille, CEO of Wafilin Systems, explains. “We feel heavily connected to the theme of innovation and corporate responsibility, as these are the driving factors of Wafilin Systems. That is what made us ultimately decide to join the contest”.

The finale will be on the 10th of February, during which the finalists will pitch their businesses to the jury and Commercial Club Leeuwarden. Afterwards, the public at home will be able to vote on their favorite company. The company that wins the most votes on the pitch, the public score and the rating of the jury will come out on top as the winner, and use the award for PR purposes.

We will be putting our best foot forward in this contest, and would like to wish the other finalists, Ekwadraat Groep and Grenzeloos Werk, all the best during their preparations for de HET Award 2020!

Wafilin Systems has a opportunity to win the title “De HET Leeuwarder Ondenemersprijs 2020”. And we are happy with that. Because the more attention we devote to our work, the more attention we create for the need of the circular economy in the Food and Dairy industry. To win this title we need your vote for that!
