Wafilin Systems celebrates grand opening of new facility in Leeuwarden

Leeuwarden, 1 November 2023 – A Membrane filtration specialist for the dairy and food industry, Wafilin Systems, marked an exceptional milestone with the opening of their new facility in Leeuwarden. This move is a direct effect of the significant growth the company has experienced over the last years. The event was celebrated with the team and specially invited guests from the region.

Highlights of the Inauguration

After a welcome by Henk Schonewille, the official opening of the new headquarters was initiated by the Mayor of Leeuwarden Sybrand Buma, who cut the ribbon and opened the doors to all guests for the first time. The festivities continued in the canteen where councillor Abel Reitsma raised a toast to the company’s success. Another highlight was the presentation of a gift from the municipality of Leeuwarden to Henk Schonewille and Jos van Dalfsen. Afterwards, the attendees had the opportunity to tour the new facility and acquaint themselves with Wafilin Systems’ team and their innovative solutions.

Focus on Growth and Innovation

The company had been located at the WaterCampus in Leeuwarden for years, but due to the significant growth it has experienced, it was forced to look for a new premisses. This is especially due to the swift developments in the food and dairy industries in both the Netherlands and the UK. “With our state-of-the-art offices, an in-house membrane application centre and warehouse, we are able to organize our work processes more efficiently and to serve our clients more efficiently and with even greater speed,” remarked CEO Henk Schonewille
